A former server at a “very rich steakhouse in New Jersey” has gone viral after revealing the best and worst behavior of celebrities at her former job.
In a video with over a million views, user Alouette (@aalouette_) shares her thoughts resulting from her time at the steakhouse, including observations about the behaviors of certain types of celebrities.
“I’ve seen everything between football players, porn stars, rappers, actors, singers,” she says. “Whatever you think, I’ve seen it.”

“These celebrities are damn right,” she asserts. Alouette then goes on to say that celebrities often appeared in the last ten minutes before closing time.
She adds that the law was the worst with the athletes. “True, not all famous people are rude, but most athletes? Rightfully so dirty,” she shares.
“This other athlete and his whole family would come every crappy party and tip us, like, two bucks,” she recounts.
However, she was also quick to point out the best kippers.
“It’s the Italian men who come with the pinky ring and the big chain that will tip you well,” she says. Later, she adds: “Porn stars? They make nice tips because they are hard workers. Business owners? They tip handsomely because they are hard workers.”
She then speculates that, although athletes, rappers and other celebrities are hard workers, “they forget what hard work is, I think. I don’t know… Maybe I’m crazy.”
“Working there has definitely numbed me to the idea of fanatically falling in love or caring about some sleazy celebrity,” she concludes, before noting that the most beautiful celebrity she met at work was singer Jhené Aiko.
In the comments, users shared their alleged encounters with celebrities.
“I served Odell Beckham at ihop maybe 6 years ago and he left me a $7 tip on a $100 check,” claimed one commenter. “I purposely acted like I didn’t know who he was.”
“Served Paul Rudd once, the BEST gin around. I will watch every movie and support him,” added another.
“Most celebrities do NOT tip!! I worked in nightlife for 10 years in Manhattan!!” a third suspect.
Several users noted that their experiences serving athletes, including Shaquille O’Neal and Steph Curry, were positive.
“Shaq is the most beautiful celebrity I’ve ever met,” offered another user. “His whole family was wonderful.”
“Steph Curry is super sweet,” another TikToker recalled. “He was a regular at my restaurant and always sat in my section.”
Users also supported her claim of “Italian men who come with the pinkie ring and the big chain”.
“How about Italian men. I used to work in a hotel in New York and Italian men would always tip me $20-$50 just to give them a towel,” said one commenter.
“The Italian man with a pinky ring. Indian man with a pinky ring, Armenian man with a pinky ring. The pink ring is the secret,” joked a second.
In an email to the Daily Dot, the TikToker expanded on her original video and responded to some of the comments.
“Surprisingly, many of the comments I was able to capture were those that agreed with me. I’m not the first to hear or say this – celebrities just get a little stubborn!” she shared. “Speaking from my experience, the C- or D-list celebrities were the ones who remained polite, humble and considerate. I think there is a disconnect from reality and the ego of a celebrity – one commenter said “they think seeing or meeting them is advice” and I couldn’t agree more. The culture of celebrity worship was always controversial to me and working there only made it worse! However, the beauties always made up for it!”
