US News recently published the list of cars with the most improvements based on last year’s model.
2022 Toyota Tundra
Like several other vehicles on this list, the Toyota Tundra received a much-needed redesign for the 2022 model year. According to US News, the biggest change for the Tundra isn’t necessarily written on the body panels, but rather seen under the hood. , where there is an optional hybrid engine. With this hybrid option, MPG improves by over 7 mpg compared to the old V8 engine found in the previous model.
2022 Nissan Frontier
Speaking of redesigns, it’s hard to imagine a truck that was more overdue for an overhaul than the Nissan Frontier. Thankfully, for the 2022 model year, the Frontier was completely redesigned with a square, retro-inspired body. While not much has changed for the powertrain, the dynamic styling overhaul is enough to make this one of the most improved vehicles for 2022.
2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The 2022 model year brought a complete redesign of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and as it enters its fifth generation, it looks like power is back on the table. The fourth-generation Grand Cherokee tended to fall into the midsize family SUV market. However, with a new interior and available luxury SUV features mixed with a hybrid powertrain option and a Trailhawk package, it appears the Grand Cherokee has returned to its off-road performance roots.

With the 2022 model year, this has been resolved with a greater emphasis on the Lexus design language. A new two-tone interior with a wide range of infotainment upgrades also helps this Lexus maintain a place at the top of its class.
2023 Land Rover Range Rover
While the Range Rover lineup has been seen in the past as an over-the-top experience that doesn’t reflect its price tag, the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover aims to impress by adding new styling that combines the look of the old Rover with some polished edges for bring this SUV into the modern era. The new Range Rover also has an optional plug-in hybrid system, offering 48 miles of electric-only driving.
2022 Lexus LX
Another Lexus makes this list as the brand continues to add more luxury to the interior of its luxury SUVs. Along with other Lexus products, the Lexus LX’s infotainment system is getting a major refresh, finally ditching the old system found in Lexus and Toyota products that made them feel years older than they were.
BMW X4 2022
BMW calls the X4 a Sports Activity Coupe, and with that name, the company aims to offer a level of SUV space with a level of sports coupe performance. So, as expected with the 2022 BMW X4, the automaker is taking steps in the right direction with more standard features and a hybrid trim option.
