Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today unveiled its latest line of gaming monitors at Gamescom 2022 in Cologne, Germany, including Cinematic The Ark of Odyssey and the Odyssey G7 (G70B) and G6 (G65B) monitors. the ark of odyssey, announced earlier this monthis the world’s first 55-inch 1000R curved gaming display, with a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time (GtG) and all new cockpit mode.

Odyssey Ark: Samsung’s ultimate entertainment display with outstanding gaming performance
Odyssey Ark represents a new frontier in gaming with its immersive picture quality and cinematic surround sound. The world’s first 55-inch 1000R curved display complements the user’s peripheral vision and is designed to enhance the viewing experience through Cockpit Mode, which can optimize the display environment with HAS (Height Adjustable Stand) functionality, tilt and rotation. Quantum Matrix technology powered by Quantum Mini LED enables extremely fine and precise control of densely packed LEDs with newly added 14-bit processing, enhanced with 16,384 black levels and a million-to-one static contrast ratio that displays every detail with amazing clarity.
Odyssey Ark is Samsung’s latest entertainment display, powered by Samsung’s proprietary Matte Display and Sound Dome Technology. With anti-glare and anti-reflection capability, users can watch, work and play without distraction while being surrounded by cinematic sound delivered via four speakers in each corner and two center woofers – resulting in a 2.2.2 channel 60W with notes lower 45Hz of any gaming monitor or gaming soundbar.
Odyssey Ark is equipped with all the necessary features to deliver premium gaming, entertainment and lifestyle experiences. The Smart Hub integrates essential IoT devices and functionality, allowing users to monitor and adjust settings such as temperature and humidity through the SmartThings app. Plus, a simple Wi-Fi connection enables a complete Smart TV experience, giving access to popular streaming apps and free live content without downloads or recordings powered by Samsung TV Plus.[1]
In addition, the Odyssey Ark is equipped with the Ark Dial, a solar-powered controller that is exclusive to the Ark display, allowing quick and easy control of settings such as the Flex Move screen, Multi View, Quick Settings and the Bar The game.[2]. In addition to being equipped with a solar panel, the Ark Dial can also be charged from a USB Type-C connection.
Odyssey G7 (G70B) & G6 (G65B): Smart services and even more agile gaming
Samsung’s newly revealed Odyssey G7 and G6 for gaming mobservers
Just revealed at Gamescom 2022 are the Odyssey G7 and G6 gaming monitors. These models in the Odyssey line feature Samsung’s Smart Platform, doubling as a Gaming Monitor and Smart TV all in one.
Both the G7 and G6 offer smart functionality, including the option to create a home office environment even without a computer. Monitors easily connect to various IT devices and services, all from one screen for an extremely efficient work environment. Users can connect wirelessly to a compatible Windows or Mac computer, use Samsung DeX, mirror a smartphone screen to the monitor using Apple AirPlay 2, and access Microsoft 365 cloud services. Users can view also the latest shows on Netflix, Amazon Prime and other major service providers.[3]
In addition to IoT functionality, also available on the Odyssey Ark, the G7 and G6 are equipped with a high-sensitivity far-field voice microphone, allowing users to control the device with voice assistants such as Bixby and Amazon Alexa. Always in voice[4] the feature allows users to interact with Bixby even when the monitor is off, while displaying chat-related information on the monitor screen.
The G7 is available in 28- and 32-inch sizes, offering a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time (GtG). These capabilities are packed into a UHD resolution, flat IPS display that’s enhanced by NVIDIA’s G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for smooth gaming.
The G6 is available in 27- and 32-inch size options and is equipped with a 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time (GtG). The QHD, 1000R curved display comes with FreeSync Premium Pro for a seamless gaming experience that will give any gamer a competitive edge.
Availability of the Odyssey Ark in Australia has yet to be announced.
