MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Eagles ended their 2022 preseason with a 48-10 loss to the Dolphins on Saturday night.
They now have until 4pm on Tuesday to get down to their 53-man roster limit and the first game of the 2022 regular season is just around the corner. They will be in Detroit the first week on September 11th.
None of the Eagles starters played in this game, but we got to watch a bunch of guys fight for playing time and roster spots. And they had to face many of the Dolphins starters who played in this game.
Here is our last watch in stock of the summer:

LB Patrick Johnson: The sophomore running back from Tulane has had a strong training camp and got a sack from Tua Tagovailoa in the first quarter. He beat right tackle Austin Jackson and fought through some illegal contact to get the sack.
WR John Hightower: The former fifth-round pick doesn’t have much of a chance to make this list, but he had some catches in the second half, including a great catch down the sideline.
TO Grant Calcaterra: The original sixth-round pick missed much of camp with a hamstring injury, but has played a few games since returning to Cleveland last week. He finally got into his first NFL preseason game and had a really nice 24-yarder to end the first quarter. He battled some as a blocker, getting a holding call. He still needs work in that area.
S Reed Blankenship: UDFA from Middle Tennessee State had an impressive tackle in the first half on RB Salvon Ahmed. He channeled his strength through him. In a first half where the Eagles struggled to fight, Blankenship’s big shot really stood out. He has had an impressive summer to put his name in the mix for a roster spot.
WR Devon Allen: While last week’s 55-yard catch was fun, Allen really shined as a kicker on the punt team this week. He was coming down the field fast. If he’s ever going to make a roster, he’s going to have to be a special teams contributor.
RB Jason Huntley: For a while, I thought Huntley had a chance to make this list. I don’t think that anymore. But he had a 67-yarder in the fourth quarter. He finally managed to show that explosion we were talking about.
Stocks down
QB Reid Sinnett: Another poor performance from the Eagles’ third-string quarterback, which is troubling because one of the reasons the Eagles really liked him last year was because of his excellent preseason play as a member of the Dolphins. We haven’t seen it this year. Sinnett threw a brutal pick-6 in the first half. Sinnett went 12-for-22 for 104 yards and an INT.
CB Mac McCain III: Tough task to start this game for McCain, who lined up against Tyreek Hill on the first play of the game and got burned deep. However, this was not the only game. Moments later, Raheem Mostert broke off a great run on that side.
CB Kary Vincent Jr.: As McCain was beaten on that deep ball by Hill, Vincent was behind River Cracraft on the game’s first touchdown. And he almost gave up another one.
LB JaCoby Stevens: The Eagles took out Nakobe Dean after a couple runs and inserted Stevens. He got off to a very rough start. The 2021 sixth-round pick looked a little lost there.
LB Davion Taylor: At the start of training camp, it looked like Taylor would be looking for some serious playing time. But he’s really come down to earth and didn’t play well in Saturday’s game.
S K’Von Wallace: After a poor start to his training camp, Wallace really turned things around, but it wasn’t his best game. He got caught on that early deep ball and missed a few shots on this one.
